German Design Award for GEN8 EVO by Hunkeler
Concept and design by Alphagate
We at Alphagate are very pleased to have won the German Design Award in the discipline “Excellent Product Design” in the “Industry” category together with Hunkeler!
As part of our collaboration, we had the opportunity to support Hunkeler in the area of user experience. The result is a holistic approach to machine design in the printing industry that unites function, clarity, and aesthetics – a project realized by Alphagate’s industrial design team together with NEOW.

From the very beginning, the collaboration was characterized by openness, passion, and the shared goal of creating an operating solution that perfectly combines technical precision and user-friendliness.
We are especially delighted that this commitment has now been recognized with the German Design Award. It demonstrates how powerful the interplay of UX in both the physical and digital realms – in steel and iron as well as in bits and bytes, in UI design as well as in industrial design – can be, and that good design is understood and appreciated.
